Cindy's Art Gallery/Page 4

On this page you will be looking at a special kind of Cindy Pictures I started doing in the Summer of 2004.  I think of these as a hybrid, because they're partly regular Cindy Pictures made with ink and colored pencil, and partly collaged magazine clippings.

Cindy hits the slopes!   I grew up in California and never actually saw any snow fall in my whole life.  I always believed real snowflakes were exactly like they showed us in school and like we cut out of paper at Christmas time, big pancake-sized flat things with interesting shapes, no two alike.  Somehow I missed finding out that the ones you see in school and in all the pictures in books are blown-up microscopic images.  So one day several years ago when I was visiting my mother-in-law and watching out the window for some, and asked her when it was going to really snow, because all I was seeing were these little tiny white dotty bits flying around but no actual snowflakes, the truth came out.  I don't know which of us was more amazed by that conversation!

It's Cindy, The Burberry Girl!  It's true, I get called that.  And I do have a Burberry mini skirt and scarf I got one Christmas, and I do drive a red Mini, and I do love to play flamenco guitar!  But sadly, I do not have a pig that says "oink!"

Cindy has her own boutique!  Wouldn't you like to shop here?  I would love to have a boutique like this one!  I'd have so much fun trying everything on and talking on the phone all day and chatting with my customers, I'd forget to sell anything!

Cindy's flower shop!  I'd love to have a little shop like this, too, with flowers and pottery animals and Staffordshire figures!  I would sell my favorite flowers--giant roses, sweet alyssum, lavender petunias, pink stocks, red tulips, and daffodils!  I love gardening and have grown all of those myself.  Kitty would sell catnip but she would probably chew it up a bit first.

Cindy's bakery attracts the best customers!  I wish this was real!  Wouldn't it be fun?  I love baking and I love, love, love cute little dogs!  I would give every dog a free banana cream pie.

Cindy goes to London!  She's bringing along some good company, too!  Did you spot them?  I got a cute stuffed bulldog wearing a Union Jack coat to keep in my red Mini just for fun, but guess where he ended up?  On my pillow, because he said he was afraid to sit outside in the car all alone in case a monster came!  I love walking around cities, and I do love London!  But I love San Francisco and Monterey the most because everyone is so nice to me there, I feel like Cinderella.
