Meet Candy Thurston!

  Or you can call him "Thursty" like Kellar did!  Howard Thurston was the young, talented magician chosen by Kellar to be his official successor in a line of magicians that has continued right up to today's successor, Lance Burton!  Thurston started out as a young runaway working his way around doing various jobs, turned to magic, and ended up with a massively large-scale show that made a fortune and was seen all around the world, and just kept getting bigger and bigger.  He was said to perform with a combination of  great dignity and humor.  I wonder which category pulling a duck out of an audience member's coat fell into?  I mean, I always find it hard to be dignified when there isn't a duck around, don't you?
