"Cindy's Winter in Amsterdam!"/Page 10
Cindy wins all the awards! No wonder I didn't get called back after my commercial screen test, they realized what a major talent they had found and decided to star me in a huge movie instead! Of course I instantly won all the awards possible, an Oscar, and Emmy, a Grammy, an MTV award, a star on Van der Hollywood Boulevard, two giant boxes of chocolates, a few large cappucinos, a diamond ring, and most prized of all, my own Blackberry. I don't have a Blackberry but I spend a lot of time wanting one even if it is just a pretend one to walk down the street with looking like a celebrity, or tricking Joey into getting a newer model so I can have his old one, so no wonder I look so happy in this picture! Notice my Converse sneakers with my Oscar gown--even as a major movie star, I am down to earth! |
Cindy at a broadcast! There I am with Hanna, sitting in our favorite seats watching another live broadcast of "De Nieuwe Uri Geller!" Uri is turning around to smile and wave hi, and who is that performing? Oh, it's Joey doing his mind reading act! It looks like he's doing his Dunninger act here with his chalk slate for a happy sparkly celebrity who looks suspiciously like Kelly van der Ripa. This is pretty much what a broadcast looks like, camera and light equipment just everywhere, sometimes cameras even pointed right in your face, bodyguards standing around sternly, a wiggly audience all misbehaving, and if you look up there are camera guys sitting way up in the air above everyone. It's really exciting and fun and if you ever get a chance to go to a live broadcast or a taping of a show, I hope you'll go see what it's like for yourself. Once you've seen it you'll be able to imagine everything you're not seeing behind the scenes when you watch a show. |
Joey directs...Joey! This picture makes me laugh! It is so Joey to do everything himself, and I love the glasses which are like some he likes to wear, and the microphone which is a lot like the vintage one he uses in his Dunninger radio show, and his crazy expressions. It is really hard to take mentalism seriously sometimes! If you haven't seen my cartoon gallery of mentalism cartoons here at Cindythings, you've got to check them out, they are fun. If you want to see Joey perform with some top Russian celebrities during one of the TV broadcasts in Russia, the video is on You Tube someplace, you should be able to find it if you search Joe Atmore there I think. He is really big in Siberia! |
Tiki has a starring moment! Tiki is always a star, but just for fun here she is starring in a magic act! I love that Tiki says "Meep!" instead of "Meow." She is also unusual because she has extra thumbs--one paw has three thumb claws and the other two. And, she is mysteriously missing the tip of an ear. And, she likes to roll over and over on the floor, back and forth, just like the tigers in the Barnum and Bailey Circus, and she can catch balls and play ping pong with her extra big paws! From the moment I first saw her, I knew something was really different and mysterious about her, but I still haven't figured out exactly what it is. I think there really may be something magical about her because right before we met her, I told Joey I wanted to go get a cat that day and I didn't care if it had six toes or half an ear, I just suddenly had to go get a cat right now! Joey was already fussing over her and determined she should be the one we picked when I noticed that she had extra thumbs and a missing ear tip! So I knew right then she was meant to be mine. |
Cindy and Tiki in the secret garden! Few know this, but there is a special secret garden at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky just for the official hotel cat. One day, and this really happened, Tiki was sitting in the lobby with us when a very highly placed hotel lady mistook her for the official hotel cat. We told her Tiki wasn't the official hotel cat, but she was convinced Tiki was the official hotel cat and we just couldn't convince her otherwise, and so suddenly out rolled the red carpet for Tiki and one of the perks of being the official hotel cat is, you get to use the amazing secret garden where it is like a gorgeous summer day even in the middle of an Amsterdam winter, any time you want. Here are Tiki and I and lots of little friends enjoying some time there. |
