"Cindy's Winter in Amsterdam!"/Page 11

Cindy and Tiki have lunch.  Yes, it is rough being the official hotel cat and her special friend.  We had to have lunch in this dining room from the moment everyone decided Tiki was the official hotel cat, it was rather hard to have a conversation at such a long table but we could pick whatever we wanted to have for lunch and when we were done we could move the candelabra and run and slide on the table.

Cindy and Joey and Tiki give a concert in the hotel lobby.  When we got a little bored we would sit down at the three pianos and tinkle the ivories.  Or is that tickle the ivories?  We tinkled them.  Well, Tiki stomped them, but she has extra thumbs, and she really does like a good exciting Gershwin tune.

Cindy and Tiki at the hotel pool.  Not everyone knows there is a hotel pool at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, it's just for the specialest of guests like the official hotel cat and her special friend.  It's amazing how it is sunny and summery even in the winter.  We spent a lot of pleasant afternoons there.  We didn't tell Joey about it in case he was jealous since he didn't know about it.

Cindy and Tiki in the official hotel cat residential suite.  You have to really dress to the nines in the official hotel cat suite, I guess because of the nine lives thing to do with cats.  It's so fancy everything is like one of those fabulous old black and white movies starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, everything satin and art deco.  You also must behave perfectly and not jump on the couch, at least when anyone is watching.  It can get a little boring behaving so perfectly so we would only stay a while just to be polite.

Cindy and Tiki take over the lobby!  When we got really bored of being the official hotel cat and her special friend, and didn't have anything better to do, sometimes we would sit in the lobby and want to be entertained by the hotel staff.  They would do their best to entertain us.  They brought us books and treats and toys and things to do like knitting yarn.  We pretended to be a strange man with a mustache and his tiger so they wouldn't know it was us and ask why we weren't in the official hotel cat places.  I don't think they figured out who we really were.
