"Cindy's Winter in Amsterdam!"/Page 18
Cindy and Joey dine Chinees! I love how they spell Chinese in Amsterdam--Chinees! It seems better that way, don't you think? On our last night in Amsterdam we ate in a Chinees restaurant behind our hotel, and were fascinated that it was a mixture of Chinese food and Thai food and Indian food. Joey was obsessed with the little burner they put on your table to keep your plates hot, we don't have that at our Chinese restaurants at home. We looked out over the canal and talked about our visit to Amsterdam coming to an end and wished we'd visited the Chinees restaurant sooner! |
Cindy picks out a friend to bring home! On the very last day in Amsterdam, we went to Hema one last time. Hema is like the Woolworth's of Amsterdam, the place to go if you need something, whether it is something practical or just to lift your spirits poking around someplace the way Woolworth's could always do. I must have visited Hema every day I was there! Hema has a lot of really adorable stuffed animals, and I already had their fluffy pink pig and long flowered dog. On the last day I picked out a fluffy white bunny I'd been admiring the whole time, I'm not sure I could have left Amsterdam without him!

************************* Well, that's all for my Cindy Pictures for Cindy's Winter in Amsterdam! But here is a special bonus, the following are the fun designs I created to be placed on all sorts of fun souvenir merchandise in my Cindythings shop at Cafepress, including tee shirts, posters, tote bags, mugs, just about anything you can imagine!
|
This picture shows Cindy, Joey, and
Tiki hanging out in decidedly un-winterlike clothes for a change,
along with a new Cindythings friend, the Dutch Windmill!
That's my real Paul Frank ruffled skirt, I love it, and I really
have lots of Dutch wooden shoes in my home and love to clomp around
in them! Way back a long time ago, one part of my family
passed through Holland after moving from King's Lynn England where
they were baronets, and before moving on to settle Massachussetts.
Another part of my family hailed from Holland, too. I like
Tiki's pink mittens here, don't you? |
A fun snow picture of Cindy and Tiki as snowgirls, and two new friends, the Giant Ice Cream Cone and the Dutch Windmill. Joey must have taken the picture. |
A nice cat design about a city that is nice to cats! This design is approved with five thumbs up by Tiki! |
