"Cindy's Winter in Amsterdam!"/Page 5

Cindy dusts off that old record on the shelf!  While we were in Amsterdam when things would get a little boring I would go a little crazy playing You Tube music videos.  I found all these fantastic hits from the Eighties and spent a lot of time dancing around the room pretending I was Pete Burns from Dead or Alive singing, "You Spin Me Right Round Baby Right Round Like A Record Baby Right Round Round Round!" and of course doing all the moves from the video!  That song is probably still echoing in the Krasnapolsky!  I'm still playing it in my Mini every time I drive, too, I love it!  Tiki's big favorite was "Walk Like an Egyptian!"  Whenever I played it, she'd go crazy!  Maybe in one of her nine lives she belonged to Cleopatra?

Uh oh, Cindy has a flu party!  While we were in Amsterdam the worst wipe-out flu ever was going around, and Joey caught it and then I caught it too.  So for a few days Tiki and I stayed in our room and wallowed in pajamas reading books and watching weird English TV shows and eating cookies and drawing pictures including this one and watching all the little people in their little black coats with their little black umbrellas out in Dam Square walking all around like little ants out in the bitter cold.  One day, as I was just gazing out the window doing absolutely nothing, the most amazing thing happened.  Out in Dam Square, one pink umbrella appeared amongst the black ones, bobbing along, and then along came a bright green one, and then a yellow one, and within a minute there were dozens of umbrellas of every color swirling around in the square like some amazing choreographed dance sequence in a musical, it was so amazing I sat up to watch and had to pinch myself!  And then, after a wonderful minute or so, they all went on their way and it was all black umbrellas once again.

Cindy and Tiki Dream Airways, now flying over Amsterdam nightly!  We brought our monkey friend Beek from the toy department at Beekendorf with us.  I just love stuffed animals and he was so cute and fluffy and kindly looking, he was one of my very favorite things about Amsterdam and my most constant friend besides Tiki!  He lived on my pillow there, and now he does here at home, too.  He's sitting here smiling at me right now as I write this!

Cindy at the Juice-a-Go-Go!  I just couldn't get over that lingering flu feeling, so one day, there it was, just what I must need--a juice bar!  I decided to go in and find out if they had a miracle cure for the flu.  I had never tried wheat grass or anything at all like the strange drinks on the menu, so I just told the juice lady I needed something to instantly feel better.  She made me a drink full of all sorts of healthy things, it was greenish orange and truly the most awful thing I have ever tasted in my life!  I pretended to like it because I didn't want to be rude, and forced myself to drink half of it in the hope it would cure me, then decided I'd rather have the flu forever than ever taste it again!

Cindy and Joey's British friends are coming!  We were so excited our friends Marc and Emma and their tots Jake and Daisy were coming to visit from England and stay at our hotel!  Joe and Marc had met lots of times because they're both world famous mentalists, but Emma and I had only written emails and traded pictures so it was our first chance to get to meet in person and spend some time together having fun!
