Cindy's Art Gallery/Page 9
These pictures are from a picture book I made called Gregory Griggs, based on the old nursery rhyme--"Gregory Griggs, Gregory Griggs, had twenty-seven different wigs. He wore them up, he wore them down, to please the people of the town. He wore them east, he wore them west, but he never could say which he liked best." I made him a kind of zany guy who finds wigs in all sorts of things and places, like storm clouds, mops, poodles, cakes, a giant's mustache, and so on. I was listening to Mozart when I drew him, I can kind of see the influence, can you? He's fun to draw! I like him. At the end instead of making up his mind, I had him do what I would probably just do--get more wigs! |
