Meet Candy Mandrake!

  Leon Mandrake was a classic and very successful magician, but until recently i only knew him from a colorful painting we have which joe painted of a cartoon magician when he was a boy.  while I was making my candy magicians, the local p.e.a. (psychic entertainers association) guys said, "hey, make a mandrake!"  I said, "sorry boys, these are all based on real magicians, i'm not including a cartoon character!"  A week or so later, i met this super nice guy at the pea convention that was in town, and we were chatting, and i noticed his name tag said "lon mandrake."  I asked him if he'd been lucky enough to be born with that name, or if he'd taken it up as a magician, and to my amazement he told me his father had been mandrake the magician!  i don't know which of us was more surprised!  Me finding out there had been a real mandrake, or him, finding out someone thought his father was just a cartoon character!
